Certification of disposers

EcoMaster

All models of disposers EcoMaster were tested by BAY AREA COMPLIANCE LABORATORY CORPORATION, 230 Commercial Street, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.

Each product is provided by the CE marking on the data tag.

CE designation indicates that the product complies with the technical requirements stipulated in all government regulations related to it and which determine or enable this marking, and that the stipulated procedure was observed when assessing its conformity.

As with all products that fall under the harmonized sphere, it is not necessary to hand over to the customer any other documents besides the instruction manual. The fact that the conformity was assessed is verified by the CE marking on the product. The exceptions are some products with regard to which the corresponding NV (government order) - amendment stipulates obligation to hand over to the customer some other documents as well (e.g. ES Declaration of Conformity). As for the non-harmonized sphere (for instance some construction products), products are not identified by the CE marking.

The producer or the supplier is obligated to present the Declaration of Conformity and documents about the used manner of assessment of this conformity only to the inspection authority (ČOI, Czech Trade Inspection). This obligation is assigned to the producer or importer up to 10 years after termination of production or supply of the product (this time period can be determined differently by government decrees for some products). If the producer or supplier provides Declaration of Conformity even to other persons, he/she does not break any laws, but this is not obligatory. There is exception for some kinds of products, e.g. engineering devices, where the corresponding NV - amendment stipulates obligation to enclose the Declaration of Conformity to the product.

What is actually Declaration of Conformity?

Declaration of Conformity is a written affirmation of the producer or importer that their product complies with the technical requirements in effect in the Czech Republic and that the stipulated procedure was observed when assessing the conformity. The procedure of assessing the conformity is stipulated by the Act 22/1997 Coll. as amended, and corresponding regulations of the government (NV - amendment).

What is the difference between Declaration of Conformity and ES Declaration of Conformity?

Declaration of Conformity is issued for products which are not in the harmonized sphere with the EU. It concerns, for example, some construction products and products stated in the NV - amendment 173/97 Coll. ES Declaration of Conformity is issued for products in the harmonized sphere.
