The waste disposer is a small electric appliance located in the cabinet below the sink and connected to the regular sewage system through which is the water with crushed material flushed away.
The waste disposer will crush all the organic material to miniature particles which are, together with water, driven under pressure to the drain and to the sewer.
We will turn on cold water and switch on the disposer. We will throw or insert waste designated for crushing to the grind chamber. At the bottom of the chamber, a turntable with swiveling blades will start rotating at 2600 – 2800 rpm.
Material designated for crushing falls on the rotating turntable and due to the centrifugal force being created by the rotation, moves to the outer perimeter of the grind chamber, where it is ground by the perforated ring.
The size of the crushed waste does not exceed half centimeter. This crushed material, which passes through the perforation in the grind ring, is then driven by the centrifugal force pressure, together with the water, through the drain to the sewer.
After we finish crushing, we switch off the disposer and after that we turn off the water.
Crushing, even the hardest waste such as bones, does not take longer than 10 seconds. The crushing of softer waste takes about 5 seconds.
Thanks to high speed and high performance, it is not possible to choke the waste disposer of the EcoMaster brand.
In case a foreign object falls to the disposer (a spoon, a beer cap) and blocks the drain chamber, the disposer will automatically shut off. The waste disposer is for this type of situation equipped with a special thermal fuse (red bottom on the lower part of the disposer). After extracting the foreign object from the disposer and subsequent switching on of the fuse, we can continue the crushing. This fuse protects the electric motor from an eventual overheating.
There is no danger that using the EcoMaster will cause clogging or blockage of the drain pipes. Waste disposers have been used in the USA for about 50 years; they are a common feature of every household. The drain piping in the USA has much smaller diameter than our pipes. Therefore the disposers are constructed in a way that ensures a single particle of the crushed material will not exceed 0,5 mm.
