The operation of the disposer is very simple and safe

Instructions for disposer use

Abide by the following instructions, it will prevent a possibility of eventual problems or damage to the device.

1. Remove the sink stopper in order to allow the water flow freely and to enable depositing of the leftovers to the disposer. Leave the rubber guard in the waste area.
2. Turn on the cold water at a medium flow. The flow of the water is necessary for correct functioning! The water facilitates passing of the leftovers during crushing and dissolves the crushed waste, which then flows away faster and helps to clean the disposer.
3. Turn on the disposer by pushing the switch.
   
4. Start inserting the food remains directly to the disposer. Larger pieces, which will not fall through can be pushed down without a worry through the guard with your hands or with the designated tip of Mr. Scrappy’s multipurpose stopper into the working chamber. There is no danger of injury, because the distance between the disposer’s neck and the rotating turntable is sufficiently big.
5. After we finish grinding, which can be recognized by the sound of the disposer running idle, let the water run for another 10 seconds for a thorough cleaning of the disposer and the drain pipe.
6. 5.Push the switch to turn off the disposer.
7. 5.Stop the flow of cold water and the grinding is finished.

Recommendation

Crushing will become much faster, if you cut or break large pieces before inserting them into the disposer to smaller pieces. For example larger bones, melon peels, corn husks and fibrous materials such as pineapple or plant stalk. Larger bones, fibrous peels or bean pods require longer crushing time. The crushing affect will improve if diverse materials are crushed together.

During the times the disposer is not operating it enables regular flow of water from the sink just like a common siphon.
