What can be crushed in a waste disposer

All organic waste from the household

What can be crushed in a disposer

The waste disposer is designated for liquidation of all kitchen waste that originated in your household. We can simply say that in a waste disposer we can crush everything that commonly decomposes in nature.

The waste disposer is constructed for crushing even very hard materials, for example bones. Crushing of hard materials is beneficial to the waste disposer and your sewer pipes, which are cleaned in this way.

In a kitchen waste disposer we can crush

  • potato peels and whole potatoes
  • meat scraps, including ligaments and joints
  • melon, banana and orange peels
  • any fruit, vegetable
  • chicken bones
  • fish bones, fish heads
  • nut and egg shells
  • stalks
  • old pastry
  • fruit kernels
  • wilted flowers
  • coffee sediments with the coffee maker filter
  • used tea bags
  • food scraps including napkins, toothpicks
  • cigarette butts and ash
  • paper napkins
  • paper tissues
Spoiled groceries to the disposer Food scraps
Egg shells to the disposer Unused groceries

Not only this waste, but many other remains and scraps could be immediately pushed to the waste disposer and thus get rid of unpleasant odors that would otherwise emanate from your waste basket. At the same time you are not unnecessarily filling your trash bin, it will contain only paper, plastic, metal, glass, etc.

These items do not belong to the waste disposer

Glass, porcelain, plastic, metals, plastic bags, aluminum foils, leather items, linen, ropes, rubber, stones, wire brushes, sponges, but also sea shelves, artichoke leaves, dry onion peels, corn husks, etc. It is generally true that items of inorganic origin, which do not decompose naturally, do not belong to the waste disposer.

Household garbage contains at least 40 percent of organic waste. You can liquidate this garbage fast and very cheaply in the kitchen waste disposer and thus lower the cost of trash removal in your household.
